The fundamental driving force behind the creation of our birthing centre is a passionate belief in women and that individualised holistic midwifery care and the provision of excellence are achievable aims.

Our birth centre is an independent, community based facility that provides outstanding bespoke maternity services to women who are looking for low tech,midwifery led care. The practice is managed, staffed and run by independent case loading midwives who have absolute faith in the birth process and who actively encourage natural ways to achieve a gentle, positive birth experience.

Our practice philosophy is based on a commitment to pregnancy and birth as normal life events; we are absolutely committed to recognising and respecting the rights and wishes of the individual woman and her family. Continuity of care and a woman's right of choice is at the very heart of our professional ethos.

The birth centre has forged excellent working relationships with relevant local health and social care agencies. This ensures that each woman we care for is assured of the best plan of care for her and her baby whatever the circumstances.
