It is my
role to ensure your time at the Birth Centre is a warm and welcoming experience.
I am around on a daily basis, during office hours to listen to your every
request.
I am qualified and experienced in many aspects of health and safety, hygiene
and customer service.
I oversee all of the Birth Centre staff , ensuring they are working well
as a team, are well supported, and are up to date with any training and
studies.
I am not midwifery trained but have full understanding of the role and
responsibilities of the midwife. I actively encourage and support them
in aiming to advance their role in care of the healthy mother and baby.
It is my responsibility to ensure you are happy with every aspect of your
care, from the point of initial enquiry to final discharge from our services.
I ensure your private room is clean, safe and appropriate to your individual
requirements. I can even arrange the flowers on dad's behalf after the
birth, and arrange a pamper session for mum before or after the big event.
I hope that I can develop a trusting relationship with you and your family
so you feel comfortable to approach me with any request or query. I will
endeavour to meet your wishes, and liaise with the appropriate person
to ensure any issues are dealt with professionally and efficiently.

I am very excited to
have the opportunity to work at Born at Home. I have worked in the recruitment
industry for 10 years as an Office Manager and a Human Resources Manager
so the industry change is very dramatic; however both industries are committed
to the same end and that is ensuring that the needs of their client's
are met to the highest standard and that the service provided is tailored
to ensure that the highest quality of care is achieved.
Having had my daughter in January 2006 and being fortunate enough to have
a very positive pregnancy and birth experience myself due to a personal
relationship I have with one of the Independent Midwives, I felt that
I wanted to get involved in this venture to offer the skills and experience
that I have developed to the benefit of ensuring that the clients of Born
at Home are able to have a calm, efficient and positive experience also.
I live locally with my husband and daughter and in my spare time I love
nothing more than reading a book, going out with my girl-friends and dancing.
I look forward to meeting you and your family.

I am delighted to have
joined this wonderful team at the Holistic Birthing Centre and share their
ethos of giving ladies the opportunity to have a natural and rewarding
birth.
My role at the Centre is to ensure the development and implementation
of Policies and Practices to support Health, Safety, Security for all
our clients and their families and the staff who work at the Centre.
I recently retired from the National Health Service after 27 years in
a variety of operational roles and look forward to working in a holistic
health setting that brings such wonderful rewards for its clients. Both
my husband and daughter work in a Healthcare setting so my family and
I are committed to improving healthcare wherever we can.
In my spare time I enjoy gardening, reading, watching football, meeting
with friends and visiting my caravan in North Wales.
I feel very privileged to be part of such a professional and caring team
who always put the client and their family first.
